Kayla L. Bridgham began her career as an associate attorney with Himes, Petrarca & Fester in 2025. She graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University’s Maurer School of Law in May of 2025 with a minor in education law and policy.

Prior to joining Himes, Petrarca & Fester, Kayla worked as a law clerk for an Indiana law firm and the North Carolina Department of Justice. In both of these roles, Kayla served both public K-12 school districts and higher education institutions.

During law school, Kayla worked as a Discussion Instructor for IU’s School of Education, where she taught future teachers about legal and ethical issues pertaining to education. While at IU, Kayla focused her research on special education law, and has published several articles in West’s Education Law Reporter and the National Association of Secondary School Principal’s Principal Leadership magazine. She also taught civics to elementary school students through a program that matches law students to local elementary schools.

Kayla is a North Carolina native and completed her undergraduate education at North Carolina State University, earning a B.A. in Political Science. Outside of the practice of law, Kayla enjoys reading, going for runs with her run club, and spending time with family.
