Rachel Domash is an associate at Himes, Petrarca & Fester practicing in all areas of school law. Ms. Domash counsels clients in a variety of matters, including board governance, labor, employment, litigation, and student/special education law.

Before joining the firm, she worked at another school law firm where she developed her passion for helping school boards by advising them on legal and policy matters, researching legal issues, and preparing school districts for litigation and administrative hearings. Rachel also practiced in the private sector where she gained valuable experience in negotiations and civil litigation.

Rachel is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Women’s Bar Association, and Illinois Council of School Attorneys.

Rachel received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences and a minor in Spanish from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2016. In 2019, Ms. Domash graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she served as president of the Education Law and Policy Society, was selected for the College of Law’s Federal Civil Rights Clinic, and received the Rickert Award for Excellence in Advocacy. While in law school, Rachel was a judicial extern for the Honorable Sharon Johnson Coleman of the Northern District of Illinois and the Honorable Diane J. Larsen of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
