Ms. O’Hara is a Queens, NY native who has studied and worked in many locations throughout the United States in her career. Ms. O’Hara received her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University, where she was a double major in Criminology & Criminal Justice and Psychology. Ms. O’Hara then went on to earn her law degree from the George Mason University School of Law, where she served as the Executive Editor of the George Mason University Civil Rights Law Journal. Prior to entering the field of education law, Ms. O’Hara spent time working in the federal public sector, including the with U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, the U.S. Sentencing Commission, and the Department of Justice. Ms. O’Hara is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Maryland and was selected by Thomson Reuters as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2023.
